Description
The cozy holiday resort of Waxweiler is located in the Germany/Belgium/Luxembourg triangle and has approx. 1200 inhabitants. The area is part of the German-Luxembourg Nature park.
The Echternacher Springprozession, a church parade which is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list, has its origins here.
The center of Waxweiler is only a 6 minute walk from the park’s reception. Here you can find pharmacies, doctors, a hairdresser, shops, gas station, bars, cafes, restaurants, tourist information and a supermarket.
Waxweiler is also a great starting point for excursions to cities like Prüm, Bitburg, Trier and Luxemburg, as these are all located nearby and can be reached in less than an hour.
There is a ski resort at the Prüm, called: Black Man, 20 miles away from the holiday park.
There are ski lifts, ski rentals, cross-country ski trails and a toboggan run.
